Beginner's Basic Instruction Guide

Long Tones and Train Rhythms:
The two main-stay basic exercises to bring lungs out of their comfort zone and strengthen breathing muscles.

1) LONG TONES:
(The basic exercise to work your lungs out of the comfort zone to improve and maintain maximal inspiration and maximal expiration.)

At this point try to draw even further - this may cause slight discomfort.

Next gradually exhale and breathe in and out for possibly half a minute in a comfortable fashion.

TRAIN RHYTHMS:

Start slowly and increase as tolerated; a slight discomfort in the chest muscles is normal and expected.
